Loneliness

Choking into the breaths of others,
the world is an overly crowded prison.
Here each man is a rat, running on baits,
leaving behind no trail.
And as they say, the time repays
when none can escape the gray.
Possessions are lost and love is gone
All that resides is the loneliness.

Great Brother

To protect a gentle dream from the harsh world
there is always a man to rely on,
one man who stands by at difficult times
even when darkness is all you see.

He rides all along, like a father,
escorting from every rough phase
and he promises to be the one
who will never decline to be that man.

Relationships

Travelling down the moments of life -
the time when love’s in abundance and
colors in shine, when hands are tied
into relationships – soft and subtle
threads composing the symphony of life.

The ocean of ordeals seems benign
when I feel a hand on my head,
see another feet beside me,
when words are not mere mundane letters
but hearts speaking out.

Embrace Girl Child with Open Arms

Standing at one of the corner of the house
with a smile, light and assuring,
She watches your whole being
With her protective sight and
Nurtures slightest of the moments
 with the utmost care.

The past dwelled into her, present rests in her
She is the life of the future-
The mother,
The daughter,
 The giver.

My Great Brother

Wondering how things would have been
without your hands to back me up
and without your words to light me up.
The times when you committed
your breaths to me, it’s my treasure.
The times when you left
your comforts for me, it’s my fortune.

A true savior and a true hero,
a soul, selfless and a man divine.

I can’t pay a great tribute but
all I can do is worship you along
for if I see God, it resides in you.

Don't You Wish Me - Asks a Girl Child

I dreamt about my own little place
inside your selfish world-
I created life and I nurtured it,
I pledged to devote my heart
to your beats.
I loved every form of your existence,
watching you close, caring for you.
I even reached the acme of perfection,
became the moment of your pride.

But then someone swallowed it – the dream!
It was gone, so was I.

Why could not I live the dream?
Why could not I live?

Look me in the eyes and hold the sight,
Don’t you wish me too?
Me- the mother, the daughter, the giver.
